Hope everyone can make it to Minglewood and the bluegrass festival this weekend! They are calling for scattered storms but thats why we have buses!
I talked with the boy scout troop leader in charge of camping at the festival and he said if I got a camp site at the festival to use as a day camp that all the other buses that can fit are welcome to join for the day Saturday. I think it would be really cool to have our own little bus show/camp right at the festival grounds, how about it? Just come in where the campers are and tell them you are with the buses- he said you could all come in for free for the day, although boy scouts always appreciate donations. I will bring my tent/ canopy and a fire ring and a portable grill. people should bring their own lawn chairs and beverages (be discreet) and anything they want on the grill.
Maybe Todd or Brien could bring a BBTB sign and we could represent? If you fish, bring a pole- I see people fishing there all the time, some even catching...
Saturday looks like the best day, check out schedule at www.nilesbluegrass.com/
;D- Cornmeal plays twice saturday- the evening set should rock! There are two stages again this year, so be sure to look at the schedule for both stages, they have a great lineup going and also various pickers tent and workshops, so if you play bring your instrument.
If anybody needs anything during the weekend my fully stocked garage and house are just a mile form the festival- just say the word.
By the way- if you haven't been to this festival before- it is FREE-
Parking is going to be tight this year as they closed two lots that were used last year, all the more reason to come to the camp!
any questions call us at home 269-684-4642 or on Jodie's cell 269-362-1523
