New to the List

Hello all you wonderful bus people. I'm new to the list. I've met a few of you a few years back when I had an 85' vanagon passenger van. We just purchased a 77 westy in the number 2 pencil orange/yellow color. Our plate says SLUGBUS if you see our family around town. It's in very good shape but knowing how things go with these buses I would like to establish a relationship with a great mechanic now before anything major goes wrong. I took the vanagon to Fun Buggies in GR but it appears they are no longer in business. Can someone recommend both a mechanic they swear by and possibly a body shop with some experience with buses?

when things get to complicated for me or I just don't have the time, I use joe at german auto service. another good place is lakeside in rockford.
