Our 79 bay window overheated for the first time yesterday. Does anybody have advice on what to check first? Could the timing have something to do with it? Are there any good air cooled mechanics left in the Muskegon area? Josiah Attachments:

check your thermostat cable. sometimes they rust away and snap. while your there check to make sure your flaps are working correctly. Also check that you have all your heat tin pieces. All these are easy checks. Then move on to other things. Like timing, spark plugs, compression checks, etc....
