2007 trip to Baja

Jon and I are considering a 2 month trip from Canada to Baja Mexico in Jan 2007 or there abouts.

We are curious if there are any folks who have travelled to this area and are willing to share their experiences.

We are also interested in the possibility of travelling together with other VW owners in a caravan. Anyone interested?

sorry i didn't respond earlier but just saw this.
my wife and i spent a month in the southern Baja in december '04 in our 89 westy. we ferried over from Guaymas on the mainland to Santa Rosalia then went south. eventuaklly taking the ferry back to the mainland to Topolobompo from La Paz after a month, and 3 more months in Mexico.
