I am purchasing www.thesamba.com/vw/classifieds/detail.php?id=353149 a bus from BbtB pal Kevin Feild in Chicago. It is a roller but definitly not a runner . So, I need to tow it back to GR and my question: Is a uHaul auto transport the best option to snatch a bus with no engine? The tow dolly really doesn't cost that much less so I'm just planning on getting all 4 wheels up. Anyone hauled a bus with one of these? Any issues? thanks for any help in advance. Shame my westy won't be ready for a trip to the boo this year . We'll see if we can get her ready for a debut next year...

Andy picked up the project bus Monday. The U-haul trailer Andy rented was much beefier and higher than the aluminum auto transport that I got from my local (Buttrey Rental) yard. If you are going to use one of these, it lacked one critical piece of equipment - we had to use my come-alongs and chain to get it onto the trailer because it lacked a winch and cable. They assume you can drive your car onto the ramps? Good Luck Andy with your electric conversion and hope to see you camping with BBtB soon. Kevin
